When these first came out many people though it was a bad idea to have a water emitting device close to computers, phones, etc.
No worries however as these devices create water vapour and because computer components run hotter than the ambient temperature, they are poor condensors and no water will condense on them.
A side benefit of a humidifier near your electronics is reducing static electricity.
