I was trying to think who would actually need a product like this and maybe a market would exist if you targeted companies who sell hair-straightening products like GHD. They could do a promotion so when you buy your GHD hair straightener you can get a free hood on a lanyard that you can carry in your handbag always, just in case it starts to rain. After all, how many women do you see running down the street on a rainy day covering only their hair?
The other main market could be hair salons whose customers want to stop the rain from hitting their newly blow-dried or styled hair. Your client could get their hair done and then if there is a sprinkle of rain outside you can give them a branded hood on a lanyard they can wear to protect their hair. You could even print a quirky message like “At Salon X we protect our work from God’s wrath”. It would certainly get people talking about your salon. If this a bit too unusual perhaps a branded umbrella is more the way to go.
