Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I was born and raised in Wanganui and have lived in Palmerston North, Dunedin and different parts of Auckland. Like so many kiwis, I lived for several years in the UK and travelled the world. For the last 5 years I have been living here in Australia. I have been involved in various aspects of marketing my whole career, and in Promotional Marketing for the last 3 or 4 years. I enjoy the variety and the fast pace of Promotioanl Marketing and I think of it as 4 dimensional advertising - the 4th dimension being the sheer length of time a Promotional Campaign continues to operate as a brand reminder.

What is your favourite place in New Zealand?

Do I have to choose? Cathedral Cove on the Coromandel holds some fond memories and I’ve always had fun when I’ve been in Queenstown. But if you make me choose, say I could transport myself back for an afternoon - I’d take a long slow run up from Castlecliff beach in Wanganui and aim for Mount Taranaki. Wind in my hair, surf rolling, black sand, great drift wood logs like dry bones stretching to the horizon and not a soul in sight. It won’t make the 100% NZ ad – but I love that sense of freedom you get from such a rugged landscape.

Who is your favourite New Zealand sporting team?

Are you serious? The All Blacks.
