Buy Beached Whale Merchandise @ The Official CafePress Store
A couple weeks back a colleague gave us link to a video on youtube.com, about a New Zealand cartoon Beached Whale and said that it was hilarious and should check it out. Great ! Something else to mock us Kiwi’s.
Alright i’ll check it out, and sure enough it was a clip of a beached whale conversing with a Sea Gull about the predicament he found himself in, with a badly forced Kiwi accent. BUT! it was the funniest thing I have ever seen in a long time, and have sadly memorized the entire clip. Within the first week of the clip being uploaded it already had over 1,000,000 views. PRETTY GOOD if you ask me.
I went out shopping last night with my sister and stopped to talk to a friend of ours. Losing interest in the conversation, I was just randomly looking for nothing in particular at the shops and people around me when a T-Shirt and Singlet (Available in Black or White, Men’s and Ladies Style) in Supre caught my eye, I couldn’t help but laugh and run into the store. Looking at the shirt which had the all to familiar “Im beached as bro” saying from the clip, the Beached Whale and his Sea Gull buddy; man i had to buy it.
I find it funny how silly video clips can have an impact on today’s fashion, with slogans that are guaranteed to make you laugh every time. It amazes me how creative people are sometimes to come up with things like this just to amuse people.
Some are worried about us New Zealanders are going to find it offensive?? But don’t worry cuz, it’s all good. My work colleague and I found it awesome. So did my hardcore Maori Family. It’s all sweet.
For those of you who haven’t seen the clip and just need a Good Friday laugh, watch it! it’s just 1:39 mins, and one that will keep you laugh every time you hear “Beached Whale”.

New Zealanders made the short clip. It wasnt anyone else. thats why the merchandise was first released in nz. then moved to the internet, then in stores in oz. The characters are voiced by some really funny dudes from NZ. New Zealanders are mocking how the Australian interpret our accent.
I would like to know if I could get one of your “Beached As Bro” t shirts. I live in NZ

Unfortunately we are not able to sell these shirts. I know Supre were selling them and so trying one of their stores is probably the best option.

LOL, soooo wrong they are mocking the Australians accent… Because the people that made the video are from New zealand soo why in the hell would they be mocking their own accent?? DORKS !! lolololol If yoou wore that t-shirt and u had an Aussie accent ud look silly.. soo yer have fun
