Sydney Residents Love Christmas in July!

by Maria on May 13, 2013

Sydney residents love the thought of a traditional Christmas but due to the location and being in the Southern Hemisphere it is highly unlikely that it will ever happen. The only way to experience a traditional Christmas is to visit colder climates in the Northern Hemisphere and to hopefully experience a white Christmas, if luck has anything to do with it.

The other option is to go to our own Blue Mountains in our winter and to pretend it is Christmas. In fact Christmas in July is a very popular time in the Blue Mountains and many restaurants hold Yulefest to celebrate Christmas in the cooler months of the year. This allows for traditional foods to be consumed as they were meant to be and not when it is 40 degrees Celsius outside.

The magical winter time (June, July and August) is Yulefest in the Blue Mountains where many venues offer traditional Xmas style celebrations. While cold winds blow and the occasional snow falls, experience warm ‘Mountains’ hospitality, log fires, Xmas fare, singalongs and perhaps even Santa. The Blue Mountains is truly a ‘Winter Wonderland’. Visit the establishments in the link below below and discover their exciting Winter Yulefest Packages.

Also there are benefits to organising a company getaway at this time of year. Maybe it’s time to say thank you for working so hard in the lead up to the End of the Financial Year or maybe Team Bonding is a must to keep everyone on task so maybe some fun with Christmas in July Celebrations might just be in order. Another option is to invite key clients for some Christmas Cheer and do a spot of networking over a Carol or two!
