Christmas in July!

by Maria on May 30, 2014

Australia is famous for it’s warm weather, with the sun shining most days of year. Winters are mild and the summers are warm, which allows for a lifestyle enjoyed mostly in the outdoors. Due to Australia being located in the southern hemisphere our Christmas is in summer, which means the traditional style of Christmas experienced in the northern hemisphere is quite different to what is considered normal in Australia. Christmas for Australians is a family event usually held in the backyard where a BBQ is cooked or even seafood on the beaches or parks. Most people are happy with that but occasionally we wonder what it’s like to have a cold Christmas so traditional foods such a roast turkey  with all trimmings followed by a steamed pudding can be experienced the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

The closest Australians can get to experiencing what our counterparts experience in the northern hemisphere is to attend a Christmas in July event which is now quite popular in places such as the Blue Mountains. The traditional Christmas foods and roaring fires can really set the scene for that greeting card perfect Christmas we all grew up seen on our Christmas cards.

The other interesting option to consider is to hold a corporate event in the mountains and have corporate teams attend Christmas in July for a unique bonding experience. Christmas in July corporate events can look fantastic when branded Christmas Baubles are used to decorate the room and make for an event that will be remembered for a long item afterwards.

A great idea is to order lots of extra Branded Christmas Baubles early in the year and save by buying in bulk and enjoy Christmas twice a year!
