JEM attends Australian Promotional Products Convex 2009

The team at JEM Promotional Products attended the Australian Promotional Products Convex that was held over the weekend in Darling Harbour. We were on the lookout for new products and exciting new services we can offer our clients.

One of the products we saw was the Polaroid PoGo Printer.

The camera it was taken on was not great but if you do have a good camera you could use the PoGo Printer at your next event. You can capture people as they enjoy themselves, put together a slideshow of the images and then guests can pay a small donation to have their photo printed using the PoGo Printer. The photos are the perfect size to put in your wallet.

Are the days of photo albums over? Maybe we can we have the best of both worlds?

The traditional Family Photo Album, has over recent years seen a slow decrease in new photos being added. It's as if most people's lives came to a sudden stop in 1998, with hardly any new photos being added, to the usually 'splitting at the seams' album.

It is a sad situation when you consider that with the development of technology, especially in the digital cameras area, came at a price; And that was to the usual family history and recording that came in the form of event photos in the Family Photo Album.


With the flexibility and ease of use provided by the digital camera, where photos are easily taken and seen immediately, many great photos are achieved by even the least experienced photographer. Most would agree that it has been a great innovation.

I'm sure we can all relate to this and I would guess that most of us have lots and lots of unprinted photos stored in our cameras and computers and that is fine but let's not stop printing photos altogether! I know that it is a bit of a task having to organise printing etc but if the right printer was available I believe we would print many more photos and possibly share them a lot more.
